There is only one site where Whistler Mountain meets Blackcomb Mountain. It's called the Carleton Lodge. Directly at the base of high-speed gondolas for both Whistler and Blackcomb, the Carleton Lodge was originally intended as the skiers' day lodge for Whistler Village. No other Whistler BC accommodation in all of Whistler is closer to lifts for both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.

The Carleton Lodge has evolved into a unique condominium style of Whistler accommodations, offering five stories of spacious apartments. All suites in this Whistler hotel feature a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, cable television with VCR, washer and dryer, jacuzzi bathtub and great views. Maid service every third day and secure ski & bike storage is included free of charge. Secure underground parking is also available for a nightly fee.

Step outside your Whistler Hotel door to all the excitement Whistler has to offer. Winter brings you unsurpassed skiing and snowboarding, dozens of kilometers of groomed cross-country trails, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, fine wining and dining, sensational night life and a cosmopolitan shopping experience. The Longhorn Saloon

At the base of Whistler, for example, is The Longhorn Saloon. Don't let the name surprise you; yes it's a country-themed bar with a great expanse indoors, but on sunny days more people wind up sipping cold ones outside on the large patio watching the rest of their skiing compatriots fly down the mountain finishing their perfect day. Friendly attention from young, attractive servers has patrons forgetting all about those burning legs while reliving their greatest face-plants. But be careful – this place is so much fun that closing time can sneak up like a high-speed quad chair)
