David Demers - Owner 
David DemersDavid, a longtime hospitality enthusiast, is dedicated to the Sundial Boutique Hotel and its staff. He leads the hotel by setting an example: take pride in what you're doing, bring talented people together and provide personalized service in every task. David is an innovator in the local hospitality industry who brings expertise in hotel management, online reservations, and rental management. A 25-year plus resident of Whistler, he has a soft spot for giving back to the community and is actively involved with several worthwhile organizations such as Whistler Chamber of Commerce, the Blackcomb Foundation, and Tourism Whistler to name a few.

Mike Truscott - General Manager  
Mike TruscottMike was promoted to General Manager in 2006 and is involved in every aspect of the hotel's daily operations. With an enthusiastic attitude and comprehensive approach to his work, he is always ready to contribute creative ideas that reflect the brand of the Sundial. He inspires hotel staff with his strong work ethic and is always available to lend a helping hand to guests and staff members alike. An avid skier, Mike enjoys hitting the slopes three seasons a year.

Jaime Dunn - Sales and Marketing Manager  
Jaime DunnJaime embodies the spirit that makes Sundial employees stand out. Her attentive listening and easy laugh make it easy for industry colleagues to work with her on marketing and business development activities. Jaime is also responsible for the sales function at the hotel including rooms, corporate functions, weddings and banquets. She is dedicated to increasing awareness of Whistler's first and only owner-operated boutique hotel regionally, nationally and overseas.

Darren Anderson - Controller  
Darren AndersonDetail-oriented and approachable, Darren is an experienced accountant who has worked in the hospitality industry for more than five years. He moved to Whistler in 2004 after working with several high-profile hotels in British Columbia’s Okanagan region and in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As Controller at the Sundial, Darren is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the hotel including accounting, budgets and inventories. When he’s not crunching numbers at his desk, Darren can be found exploring Whistler’s mountainside on foot, bike or snowboard.

John Robinson - Security and Maintenance Manager  
John RobsionOriginally from Ontario, John came to Whistler to visit a few friends and within hours of his arrival, the beauty of the mountains compelled him to stay in Whistler where he has worked in the hospitality industry for the past ten years. Helping people enjoy their vacations just a little bit more is one of the many things that make him smile each day. He can often be found working in the halls of the Sundial, greeting passers-by. With a passion for the environment, John is the hotel’s leading steward on recycling and sustainability.

Angela O'Brien - Executive Housekeeper  
Angela O'Brien

Angela recently joined the Sundial team as Executive Housekeeper.  Angela has over twenty-two years of hospitality experience in destinations such as Whistler, France, Italy, and Spain. Her expertise is shown in the meticulous attention to detail each member of her team spends in preparing rooms and guest common areas. Originally from England, Angela is now an avid hockey fan and supporter of the Vancouver Canucks and enjoys playing on the Whistler Women’s Hockey League.
