Getting around Whistler

Municipal Bus System

"Catch the Wave" is the motto of Whistler's municipal bus system that keeps growing every year. WAVE can boast of more than two million riders a year, which is a huge number for a town of this size. Clean and bright blue, Whistler's buses are a fine way to get around Whistler.

Local Cab Service

Whistler's taxi service is easy to arrange because there's just one number to remember 604.938.1515. But don't think small. Whistler's taxi service has a large fleet made up of all sizes, from mini vans to full-sized sedans to carry your ski and snowboard gear wherever you need to go. An average trip within the village should cost about $5, to Creekside about $10, and to outlying neighborhoods about $15.

Parking in the Village

• The day lots in Whistler are free all year round. They are located a 2-minute walk from the Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain lifts and the Village.
• Marketplace and Village North parking is free for two hours.
• Underground parking beside the TELUS Whistler Conference Centre is free for three hours.
