Day Touring


Ski or ride “The Musical Bumps” and make it to the “Cowboy’s Ridge” if you dare and watch out to not lose your hat Hee…Haaa..! The peaks are towering 6,000 feet above the valley floor with alpine bowls to make your jaw drop. For enthusiast intermediate skiers. telemarkers and snowboarders who are looking for a real backcountry experience.Includes transceiver, shovel & probe. Tour time is 7-8 hours. Introduction to Ski Touring


This 5 -6 hour tour has been designed for moderate level skiers, telemarkers and snowboarders looking for an exciting ski adventure. Learn the fundamentals of backcountry skiing as well as avalanche safety, terrain selection and powder ski techniques. Offered through Coast Mountain Guides.

Ski Mountaineering


Experience some of the finest mountaineering on Fissile Mountain, Phalanx Peak, Cheakamus Mountain, Joffre Peak and Mount Matier, to name a few! This challenging 1-2 day tour requires previous mountaineering experience. Offered through Coast Mountain Guides.

Ice Climbing


Experience the ultimate feeling of climbing on ice with technical equipment in a safe and beginner’s environment. Advanced ice climbing tours are also available. Ice climbing gear provided. Offered through Coast Mountain Guides and Whistler Alpine Guides Bureau.

Customized Mixed Climbing


Mixed climbing combines both rock and ice climbing techniques in a unique freestyle approach. Beginners and advanced climbers are welcome as tours will be customized to match your ability level. All climbing equipment is included in this full day tour. Offered through Whistler Alpine Guides Bureau.
