CORONAVIRUS – COVID-19

During these trying and uncertain times, the Sundial Boutique Hotel’s main priority remains the health and safety of our staff, guests and community. In the wake of COVID-19, we have offered full refunds to all guests who previously planned to visit Whistler up until June 27, 2020 and we will continue to monitor this date. In the wake of the BC government requesting assistance from the hospitality industry to help house medical professions, we have offered our services to help in any way we can and remain open.

To ensure the safety of everyone while remaining open we adopted all the necessary safety precautions as recommended by the World Health Organization, Centre for Disease Control and local health official.

Despite our worry and concern for the safety of everyone around the world, As Canadians and Whistlerites, our adventurous and optimistic nature leads us to hope we will get through this Pandemic and come out stronger than ever before. But, we know the future is uncertain, which is why we have amended our policies to boost our guests’ confidence in planning future vacations to Whistler. All future bookings effected by COVID-19 are eligible for full refunds, and all future bookings made for stays up until November 19, 2020, will be eligible for a free cancellation up until 48hrs before arrival.

Looking To Cancel?

Due to the current situation at hand we are trying to assist all those with immediate travel plans up until June 27th. As your reservation falls beyond this date our current cancellation policy applies, however we strongly advise that you wait to cancel your reservation and contact us 30 days prior to your reservation commencing to enable us to provide an accurate cancellation policy at that time. Should you still wish to cancel at this time we are more than happy to provide a credit to the value of your deposit to be used towards a future date with no expiry.”

Restrictions on gift certificates:​
If you booked your stay with via a third party (ex. Booking.com, Expedia, etc) you must contact the third party for cancellation inquiries.

March 25, 2020 – June 26, 2020 (winter 2020 – spring)

Deposit Policy:

  • A refundable deposit of 1st night’s room and tax will be charged at the time of booking
  • The remaining balance will be charged 2 days prior to arrival
  • If booking is made inside of 2 days, the full amount will be applied at the time of booking

Cancellation Policy:

  • If the reservation is cancelled outside 2 days prior to arrival, there will be no charges applied and the first night’s deposit will be refunded
  • If the reservation is cancelled inside 2 days prior to arrival, 1st night’s room and tax will be forfeited with the remaining balance refunded to the guest
  • A cancellation number will be issued at time of notification

 

June 27, 2020 – September 5, 2020 (summer)

For Summer Bookings Made Prior To March 1, 2020:

Deposit Policy:

  • A deposit of 1st night’s room and tax will be charged at the time of booking
  • The remaining balance will be charged 14 days prior to arrival
  • If booking is made inside of 14 days, the full amount will be applied at the time of booking

Cancellation Policy:

  • If the reservation is cancelled outside 14 days of arrival, 1st night’s room and tax will be charged
  • If the reservation is cancelled inside 14 days of arrival (after full payment has been taken) it is non-refundable. A cancellation number will be issued at time of notification

 

For Summer Bookings Made after March 1, 2020:

Deposit Policy:

Cancellation Policy:

  • If the reservation is cancelled outside 30 days of arrival, 1st night’s room and tax will be charged
  • If the reservation is cancelled inside 30 days of arrival (after full payment has been taken) it is non-refundable

January 7, 2021 – April 26, 2021 (winter)

Deposit Policy:

  • A deposit of 1st night’s room and tax will be charged at the time of booking
  • The remaining balance will be charged 30 days prior to arrival
  • If booking is made inside of 30 days, the full amount will be applied at the time of booking

Cancellation Policy:

  • If the reservation is cancelled outside 30 days of arrival, 1st night’s room and tax will be charged
  • If the reservation is cancelled inside 30 days of arrival (after full payment has been taken) it is non-refundable. A cancellation number will be issued at time of notification

 

December 6, 2020 – January 6, 2021 (festive)

Deposit Policy:

  • A deposit of 1 night’s room and tax will be charged at the time of booking
  • The remaining balance will be charged 60 days prior to arrival
  • If booking is made inside of 60 days, the full amount will be applied at time of booking

Cancellation Policy:

  • If the reservation is cancelled outside 60 days of arrival, 1 night’s room and tax will be charged
  • If the reservation is cancelled inside 60 days of arrival (after full payment has been taken) it is non-refundable
  • A cancellation number will be issued at time of notification

 

EXCEPTION TO THE POLICY:

Booking.com was unable to accommodate this cancellation policy, they have provided a cancellation policy as similar to ours for these dates as possible. The cancellation policy for Booking.com for these dates are as follows:

Summer* Deposit Policy:

  • A 50% deposit of the entire booking will be taken at time of the booking
  • The remaining balance will be taken 14 days prior to arrival

Summer Cancellation Policy:

  • If the reservation is cancelled outside of 14 days of arrival, 50% of the booking total will be charged
  • If the reservation is cancelled inside 14 days of arrival (after full payment has been taken) it is non-refundable.
  • A cancellation number will be issued at time of notification

Winter** Deposit Policy:

  • A 50% deposit of the entire booking will be taken at time of the booking
  • The remaining balance will be taken 30 days prior to arrival

Winter Cancellation Policy:

  • If the reservation is cancelled outside of 30 days of arrival, 50% of the booking total will be charged
  • If the reservation is cancelled inside 30 days of arrival (after full payment has been taken) it is non-refundable.
  • A cancellation number will be issued at time of notification

Group Cancellation Policy:

  • If the reservation is a group reservation a special policy may be contracted between the group sales coordinator and the group organizer. If no such contract was/is created and agreed upon in writing the normal policy that coincides with the booking dates for that group will hold.
